Refund Policy

(Effective November 1, 2017)

The University of Florida College of Pharmacy Office of Continuing Education will utilize fair and equitable policies related to refund, transfer, and extension of courses.


Certificate Courses

Refunds will be made for programs that the Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education determines to be certificate courses according to the following schedule: 

  • If the course has not been started, and if the date is within 7 days of ordering the course, a full refund will be made less an administrative fee of $200.00. A written request must be received through our contact form.
  • If the course has been started and no more than one quiz taken, and if the date is within 7 days of ordering the course, the participant may receive a refund of one-half the course fees. A written request must be received through our contact form.
  • If the course has been started and two or more quizzes have been taken, or if the date is beyond 8 days from the time the course was ordered, there will be no refund.
  • No refunds will be granted for “no shows.” A no show is defined as registering for a course and failing to participate or submit any coursework during your course duration.

Transfer Policy:

  • If the course has not been started and the participant wishes to change date or location of any live component offerings, a $200.00 fee will be applied. A written request must be received through our contact form.
  • If the course has been started, no requests for change in date or location will be granted. No refund will be provided.

Extension Policy:

  • If the course has been started and the participant wishes to receive an extension to complete course work, the participant may be granted a one month extension for $200.00. Extension exceeding one month will not be granted. A written request must be received through our contact form.
  • The extension policy does not apply to APhA Medication Therapy Management or Immunization courses.

Live Courses, In-Person or Online

In the event UFCOP cancels a live program, a full refund of fees will be made to the participants. Meals and travel expenses are the responsibility of the individual participant and are not subject to reimbursement.

In the event a registered participant cancels his or her attendance of a scheduled program, the following schedule applies: 

  • Written cancellation to Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education more than forty-five (45) days prior to the scheduled date of an activity or program. A full refund of the registration fee less a $150.00 administrative fee. Cancellation must be received through our contact form.
  • Written cancellation to the Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education less than thirty (30) days but more than 14 days before the scheduled date of a program or activity. The participant will receive a refund less an administrative fee of $200.00. Cancellation must be received through our contact form.
  • Cancellation received 15 days or less of the scheduled date of a program or activity or “no show.”  No refund is allowed and the registration fee is forfeited.

 Transfer Policy:

  • If the participant wishes to change the date or location of any live offering, a $200.00 fee will be applied. The participant may choose another live offering offered by the Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education that occurs within 1 year. No transfers will be granted past 1 year of the original registration.

Self-Paced, Online Home Study Courses

Refunds will be made based on the following criteria: 

  • Once the course is accessed or if the course is less than $25 no refund will be made.
  • If a course has not been started and if the date is within 3 days of ordering the course, the participant may receive a refund of one-half the course fees. If the course is less than $25, no refund will be offered. Cancellation must be received be received through our contact form.
  • No refund will be granted if the request is more than 4 days after the course was purchased.

Extension Policy:

  • If the course has been started and the participant wishes to receive an extension to complete course work, the participant may be granted a one month extension for one half the course fees. Extension exceeding one month will not be granted. Only one extension will be offered. A written request must be received through our contact form.

APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization and Medication Management Therapy Programs

  • If the course has not been started a full refund will be made less an administrative fee of $150.00. A written request must be received through our contact form.
  • If the course has been started a full refund will be made less an administrative fee of $250.00.
  • No refunds will be granted for “no shows.” A no show is defined as registering for a course and failing to participate or submit any coursework during your course duration.
  • Cancellation received 15 days or less of the scheduled date of a program or activity or “no show.”  No refund is allowed and the registration fee is forfeited.

Team Based Learning Workshop

In the event UF COP cancels a live program, a full refund of registration fees will be made to the participants.

In the event a registered participant cancels his or her attendance of a scheduled program, the following schedule applies:

  • Written cancellation to Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education more than forty-five (45) days prior to the first scheduled date of the workshop. A full refund of the registration fee less a $150.00 administrative fee. Cancellation must be received through our contact form.
  • Written cancellation to the Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education less than thirty (30) days but more than 14 days before the first scheduled date of the workshop. The participant will receive a refund less an administrative fee of $200.00. Cancellation must be received through our contact form.
  • Cancellation received 15 days or less of the scheduled date of a program or activity or “no show.”  No refund is allowed and the registration fee is forfeited.

Transfer policy:

  • Transfer to a different date:
    • If the workshop has not started and the participant wishes to change the date he/she participates in the workshop, a $200.00 fee will be applied. The registered participant will be able to choose an upcoming workshop that occurs within 15 months of the original workshop date. A written request must be received through our contact form.
    • If the workshop has started, no requests for change in date will be granted. No refund will be provided.
  • Transfer to a different participant:
    • Up to 5 days prior to the first date of the workshop, a registered participant can request a transfer of registration to a different participant. The transfer will incur an administrative fee of $150.00.
    • Less than 5 days prior to the first date of the workshop, requests to transfer registration to a different participant will not be granted.

Registering for the Same Program

If the participant has previously purchased or completed the course he/she can transfer to a program valued at an equal rate or pay the difference to transfer into another program. No refunds will be provided.  


Precision Medicine Conference 2020

A full refund of fees will be made to the participants if the event is cancelled. Meals and travel expenses are the responsibility of the individual participant and are not subject to reimbursement.

  • Cancellation received 14 days or less of the scheduled date of a program or activity or “no show.” No refund is allowed and the registration fee is forfeited.
