Refund Policy

(Effective November 1, 2017)

The University of Florida College of Pharmacy Office of Continuing Education will utilize fair and equitable policies related to refund, transfer, and extension of courses.


Certificate Courses that are Fully Online, Self-Paced and Do Not Include a Live Seminar Component to Complete the Program

How does the UFCOP define a certificate course?

  • The UFCOP defines a Certificate Course as any program listed on the Certificate Course portion of the website, as well as the Consultant Pharmacist Certificate Program for initial licensure and recertification. View the specific program webpage to see if a live seminar component is required to successfully pass the course and receive a certificate of completion.

Refunds will be made for programs that the Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education determines to be certificate courses according to the following schedule: 

  • If the course has not been accessed in the Canvas Learning Management System, and if the date is within 7 days of ordering the course, a full refund will be made less an administrative fee of $25.00. A written request must be received through our contact form.
  • If the course has not been accessed in the Canvas Learning Management System and the date is beyond 8 days from the time the course was ordered, there will be no refund.
  • If the course has been accessed in the Canvas Learning Management System, and if the date is within 7 days of ordering the course, the participant may receive a refund of one-half the course fees. A written request must be received through our contact form.
  • If the course has been accessed in the Canvas Learning Management System, and the date is beyond 8 days from the time the course was ordered, there will be no refund.
  • No refunds will be granted for “no shows.” A no show is defined as registering for a course and failing to participate or submit any coursework during your course duration.
  • It is the responsibility of the participant to know the full course requirements and time frame to complete the required coursework prior to registration and payment of course fees.

Extension Policy:

  • If the course has been accessed, the affiliation period has ended and the the participant wishes to receive an extension to complete course work, the participant may be granted a one-month extension for $200.00. Extension exceeding one month will not be granted. A written request must be received through our contact form.

Certificate Courses that Include Participation in a Live Seminar to Complete the Program

Refund Policy for Live Seminars

In the event UFCOP cancels a live program, a full refund of fees will be made to the participants. Meals and travel expenses are the responsibility of the individual participant and are not subject to reimbursement.

Transfer to a different live program date:  

  • If the live seminar has not started and the participant wishes to change the date, a $25.00 fee will be applied. The registered participant will be able to choose an upcoming live program seminar that occurs within 6 months of the original date. A written request must be received through our contact form..
  • If the live seminar has started, no requests for change in date will be granted. No refund will be provided.
  • A written request must be received through our contact form.

Extension Policy:

  • If the course has been accessed and the participant wishes to receive an extension to complete course work, the participant may be granted a one-month extension for $200.00. Extension exceeding one month will not be granted. A written request must be received through our contact form.

Live Courses and Webinars (In-Person or Online)

Refunds will not be provided for courses $25.00 or less.

In the event UFCOP cancels a live program, a full refund of fees will be made to the participants. Meals and travel expenses are the responsibility of the individual participant and are not subject to reimbursement.

In the event a registered participant cancels his or her attendance of a scheduled program, the following schedule applies: 

  • Written cancellation to Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education more than forty-five (45) days prior to the scheduled date of an activity or program. A full refund of the registration fee less a $25.00 administrative fee. Cancellation must be received through our contact form.
  • Written cancellation to the Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education less than thirty (30) days but more than 14 days before the scheduled date of a program or activity. The participant will receive a refund less an administrative fee of $75.00. Cancellation must be received through our contact form.
  • Cancellation received 15 days or less ahead of the scheduled date of a program or activity or “no show.”  No refund is allowed and the registration fee is forfeited.

Self-Paced, Online Home Study Courses

Refunds will be made based on the following criteria: 

  • Refunds will not be provided for courses $25.00 or less.
  • If the course has not been accessed in the Canvas Learning Management System, and if the date is within 7 days of ordering the course, a full refund will be made less an administrative fee of $25.00. A written request must be received through our contact form.
  • If the course has not been accessed in the Canvas Learning Management System and the date is beyond 8 days from the time the course was ordered, there will be no refund.
  • If the course has been accessed in the Canvas Learning Management System, and if the date is within 7 days of ordering the course, the participant may receive a refund of one-half the course fees. A written request must be received through our contact form.
  • If the course has been accessed in the Canvas Learning Management System, and the date is beyond 8 days from the time the course was ordered, there will be no refund.
  • No refunds will be granted for “no shows.” A no show is defined as registering for a course and failing to participate or submit any coursework during your course duration.
  • It is the responsibility of the participant to know the full course requirements and time frame to complete the required coursework prior to registration and payment of course fees.

Extension exceeding one month will not be granted. Only one extension will be offered. A written request must be received through our contact form.

APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization and Medication Management Therapy Programs

Refunds for the Program

  • If the course has not been accessed in the APhA Dashboard a full refund will be made less an administrative fee of $25.00. A written request must be received through our contact form.
  • If the course has been accessed in the APhA Dashboard a full refund will be made less an administrative fee of $175.00.
  • No refunds will be granted for “no shows.” A no show is defined as registering for a course and failing to participate or submit any coursework during your course duration.
  • No refund will be granted and the registration fee is forfeited for any cancellations received 15 days or less ahead of the scheduled date of a program.

Transfer Policy:

Transfer to a different live program date: 

  • If the live seminar has not started and the participant wishes to change the date, a $25.00 administrative fee will be applied. The registered participant will be able to choose an upcoming live program seminar that occurs within 6 months of the original date. A written request must be received through our contact form..
  • If the live seminar has started, no requests for change in date will be granted. No refund will be provided.

Refund Policy for APhA Immunization Supply Kits

  • Refunds will not be provided for immunization supply kits once the order has been placed.

Registering for the Same Program

If the participant has previously purchased or completed the course he/she can transfer to a program valued at an equal rate or pay the difference to transfer into another program. No refunds will be provided.
