Summary

This specialized seminar explores the distinct roles of Large Language Models (LLMs) and traditional AI applications in modern pharmacy practice, highlighting their unique capabilities, limitations, and practical implementations.

This course is approved by the Florida Board of Pharmacy for 1.0 live general hours to meet pharmacist renewal requirements outlined in Rule 64B16-26.103.


Objectives

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Differentiate between the fundamental characteristics and operational mechanisms of Large Language Models (LLMs) and traditional AI applications within pharmaceutical contexts.
  2. Evaluate the practical applications and limitations of both LLMs and traditional AI tools in modern pharmacy operations, including drug discovery, patient care, and inventory management.
  3. Analyze implementation strategies and best practices for integrating LLMs and traditional AI technologies into existing pharmacy workflows while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
