Collaborative Practice Agreement Certificate Program

This program meets the requirements outlined in Section 465.1895 , Florida Statutes for pharmacists who wish to enter into a collaborative practice agreement with a supervising physician in the State of Florida. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will earn a certificate of achievement from the University of Florida Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education.

Consultant Pharmacist Recertification Program

This program is intended for licensed consultant pharmacists seeking continuing education for licensure renewal. This course will provide a review of regulatory requirements and clinical knowledge necessary to practice as a consultant pharmacist in the state of Florida.

APhA Pharmacy-Based Test and Treat Program

The Pharmacy-based Test and Treat certificate training program is a practice-based curriculum based on national educational standards that prepares pharmacists to provide point-of-care testing (POCT) and diagnostic services for minor, nonchronic health conditions that can be managed with minimal treatment or self-care.

APhA Delivering Medication Therapy Management Services

This program includes an overview of the marketplace for delivering MTM services, guidance for implementing MTM services in pharmacy practice, a review of the essential skills and knowledge needed for performing MTM successfully, and an organized process for identifying medication-related problems. The purpose of this certificate training program is to prepare pharmacists to improve medication use through the delivery of MTM services in a variety of practice settings.

Anticoagulation Therapy Management for Pharmacists Certificate Program

This course is designed as a resource to help prepare the pharmacist for the responsibility of monitoring and managing anticoagulation therapy patients and clinics. It is also designed to serve as a starting point to help the pharmacist prepare for the Certified Anticoagulation Care Provider (CACP) exam. This program is approved by the Florida Board of Pharmacy for consultant pharmacist recertification credit.

Implementing Pharmacogenomics into Clinical Practice Certificate Program (2nd Edition)

The fully online, self-paced Program is designed to equip the pharmacist with the knowledge necessary to implement pharmacogenomics into clinical practice in a variety of settings. Leading experts in the field of pharmacogenomics will provide educational content focusing on the following: background of pharmacogenomics, aspects of pharmacogenomic testing (laboratory considerations and interpretation of results), clinical implications of pharmacogenomics in multiple disease states including cardiology, oncology, pain management, and psychiatry, and adverse drug reactions (ADRs). Learners who complete the program and earn the certificate will be able to utilize pharmacogenomics resources, apply pharmacogenomics to clinical care, and implement pharmacogenomics in diverse clinical settings.

This program will identify the role of the pharmacist in ambulatory care settings, explore the importance of incorporating evidence-based practice into patient care, and review the treatment and management of various health conditions managed in the ambulatory care setting.

Geriatric Pharmacy Certificate Training Program

This certificate training program is designed as a resource to help prepare the pharmacist to apply the knowledge of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of medications in older adults to optimize therapeutic outcomes.It is also designed to serve as a starting point to help the pharmacist prepare for the Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacy (BCACP) exam. This program will identify the role of the pharmacist in geriatric pharmacy.
