Acute Pain Management
This CPE program will introduce the participant to the assessment and management of acute pain. This program will be given in two parts. Part 1 will focus on acute non-surgical pain while Part 2 will focus on acute surgical pain and patient controlled analgesia. This program will provide the consultant pharmacist with knowledge and skill in the selection of drug therapy and recommend appropriate efficacy and safety monitoring for both opioid and non-opioid therapies used in the management of both acute non-surgical and surgical pain.
