Refund Policy for CE Courses

(Effective July 1, 2015)

The University of Florida College of Pharmacy Office of Continuing Education will utilize fair and equitable policies related to refund, transfer, and extension of courses.

 

Certificate Courses

Refunds will be made for programs that the Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education determines to be certificate courses according to the following schedule: 

  • If the course has not been started, and if the date is within 15 days of ordering the course, a full refund will be made less an administrative fee of $125. A written request must be received by email at cesupport@ahc.ufl.edu.
  • If the course has been started and no more than one quiz taken, and if the date is within 30 days of ordering the course, the participant may receive a refund of one-half the course fees. A written request must be received by email at cesupport@ahc.ufl.edu.
  • If the course has been started and two or more quizzes have been taken, or if the date is beyond 30 days from the time the course was ordered, there will be no refund.
  • No refunds will be granted for “no shows”. A no show is defined as registering for a course and failing to participate or submit any coursework during your course duration.

Transfer Policy:

  • If the course has not been started and the participant wishes to change date or location of any live component offerings, a $150 fee will be applied. A written request must be received by email at cesupport@ahc.ufl.edu. If the course has been started, no requests for change in date or location will be granted.

Extension Policy:

  • If the course has been started and the participant wishes to receive an extension to complete course work, the participant may be granted a one month extension for $150. Extension exceeding one month will not be granted. Only one extension will be offered. A written request must be received by email at cesupport@ahc.ufl.edu.
  • The extension policy does apply to MTM or Immunization courses.

Live Courses

In the event UFCOP cancels a live program, a full refund of fees will be made to the participants. Meals and travel expenses are the responsibility of the individual participant and are not subject to reimbursement.

In the event a registered participant cancels his or her attendance of a scheduled program, the following schedule applies: 

  • Written cancellation to Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education more than thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled date of an activity or program: A full refund of the registration fee less a $25 administrative fee. Cancellation must be received by email at cesupport@ahc.ufl.edu.
  • Written cancellation to the Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education less than thirty (30) days but more than 14 days before the scheduled date of a program or activity: The participant will receive a refund less an administrative fee of $50. Cancellation must be received by email at cesupport@ahc.ufl.edu.
  • Cancellation received 14 days or less of the scheduled date of a program or activity or “no show”: No refund is allowed and the registration fee is forfeited.

 Transfer Policy:

  • If the participant wishes to change the date or location of any live offering, a $100 fee will be applied. The participant may choose another live offering offered by the Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education that occurs within 1 year. No transfers will be granted past 1 year of the original registration.

Home Study Courses

Refunds will be made based on the following criteria: 

  • Once the course is accessed, no refund will be made.
  • If a course has not been started and if the date is within 15 days of ordering the course, the participant will receive a refund made less an administrative fee of $25. If the course is less than $25, no refund will be offered. Cancellation must be received by email at cesupport@ahc.ufl.edu.
  • No refund will be granted if the request is more than 15 days after access to the course is provided.
